Barry Glick, new CEO of Webraska.

Webraska, has announced that Jean-Michel Durocher, co-founder and CEO, is stepping down as CEO, effective immediately. He will continue to remain a member of the Board of Directors. Barry Glick, who has served as Chairman of Webraska for the past 6 months, will become the CEO. Barry Glick previously was the CEO and Chairman of MapQuest, where he built the company to its industry-leading position, which led to a highly successful IPO, and eventual sale to AOL for $1.1 billion.

Webraska has announced that Michael Nappi, formerly VP and General Manager, MapQuest Business Solutions at AOL Time Warner, has accepted the position as Senior VP, Sales, Marketing, and Business Development with responsibility for company-wide Marketing, Business Development, Product Marketing, Marketing Communications and North America Sales.

Cheryl Quirion is named VP, Engineering and Operations, and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s product development, quality assurance & control, testing and operations across all products and markets. Jonathan Klinger becomes VP, Product Marketing and Communications, with responsibility for managing the product marketing group as a well as corporate and marketing communications functions. Paul Bradley will serve as Director, Professional Services and Support, with overall management responsibility for supporting our customers with installation, customization, technical support and all other means of insuring the efficient launch of high-quality innovative LBS and telematics services. Laurent Vandebrouck becomes VP, Telematics, with overall sales and marketing responsibility for our off-board navigation, fleet and telematics solutions. Shahin Javidi, VP Worldwide Sales, will have overall management responsibility for all sales on a world-wide basis across telecommunications, telematics and enterprise markets, with the exception of North America and Global Accounts, which report to Michael Nappi. Ken Hart, VP of Global Accounts, will have executive responsibility for selected multi-national wireless telecommunications customers. Thierry Dumort, co-Founder, will serve as Chief Technical Officer with responsibility for Webraska’s industry-leading Geospatial technology platform Korak Mitra, becomes VP, Technology, focused on providing technology and product leadership to the Smartzone LBS product line encompassing the LBS Applications Platform and the suite of SmartZone Applications products. This strengthening and re-alignment of the management team, positions the company to continue rapid growth and innovation, while ensuring the highest quality levels of customer support and service.
