Canada, 11 May 2007: Avenza Systems Inc., has announced that it has provided MAPublisher and Geographic Imager software to Nairobi, Kenya, based Save The Elephants (STE), so that it may more effectively support the conservation of the elephant population in Africa and communicate its message through better quality maps.

“…The versatility of MAPublisher and Geographic Imager have allowed us to produce high-quality, professional-grade map products on a level that was simply not possible before, finally bridging the gap between the science of GIS and the art of cartography”, said Mike Deutsch, principal Cartographer for the Gourma Elephant Project in Mali at Save The Elephants. “High-quality maps and visuals are a key part of our elephant conservation programs and remain one of the most effective ways to disseminate a large amount of data to a variety of individuals and organizations….”
