US: Autodesk, a world leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, has been named a Bronze Winner (“Greater Boston”) by the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development (MassEcon). The award recognises Autodesk’s leadership and outstanding contributions to the Massachusetts economy. Winners were selected based on factors including job growth, facility expansion, investment and community involvement. Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick recognised all MassEcon award winners on November 23, 2010 at the seventh annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards luncheon in Boston.
“Autodesk consistently strives to support its users through software solutions that help maximise productivity, provide competitive advantages and foster healthy, sustainable communities,” said Jay Bhatt, senior vice president of Autodesk’s AEC Solutions division. “We are honoured to be recognized by MassEcon for these efforts. The strength of the local business community, and superior technological expertise, has made this area an ideal place for our Autodesk team to develop, and to maintain a strong and influential presence.”
Autodesk’s Manchester, N.H. location was also named the Best Large Company to Work For in 2010 by Business NH Magazine and NH Businesses for Social Responsibility in recognition of its company culture, communication, employee development strategies and workplace philosophy.
