Laser-Scan announced undertaking a technical assessment with Autodesk, Inc., the world’s leading design and digital content creation company, of Laser-Scan’s product, Radius Topology.

This collaboration is in line with Autodesk’s strategy to team up with key partners to offer unique, value-added applications on top of its GIS and Civil Solutions lines. Similarly, it is Laser-Scan’s channel strategy to work with world-leading GIS vendors.

Radius Topology is an advanced spatial processing environment, which extends Oracle’s latest technology Oracle9i and provides dramatic improvements to the speed and quality of spatial data handling in such an environment.

Customers using Oracle9i software and Autodesk GIS solutions, for example Autodesk Map Series and Autodesk MapGuide, can continue unchanged while Radius Topology works behind the scenes, automatically adding topological intelligence to data.

What’s more, no specialist knowledge is necessary; Laser-Scan’s Radius Topology will bring the advantages of GIS solutions, such as those offered by Autodesk, to all users within the IT environment.
