The Netherlands, October 16, 2014: Geospatial Media and Communications has announced Autodesk as a co-sponsor of the GeoBIM Europe 2014, which is scheduled to be held on 19–20 November in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
GeoBIM Europe 2014 is a new initiative by Geospatial Media and Communications, in collaboration with Geonovum and Rijkswaterstaat. The conference has so far announced 24 confirmed speakers from the geospatial, AEC and infrastructure sectors across the Europe to address the challenges and opportunities of geo + BIM integration in the building and infrastructure sector in Europe; especially, in terms of policy, standards and technology availability.
“Geospatial information is key to the BIM process, especially when it comes to infrastructure. We need to collaborate from a GIS and design side to make BIM for infrastructure work,” explained Tracey Stone, Senior Infrastructure Product Sales Specialist Lead- EMEA, Autodesk.
