Autodesk Location services elected to management board of the Location Interoperability Forum

Autodesk Location Services, a division of Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK), today announced it has been elected to the management board of the Location Interoperability Forum (LIF) Ltd. Founded in 2000 by Ericsson (ERICY), Motorola (MOT) and Nokia (NOK) to advance the worldwide deployment of location-based services, the LIF focuses on developing global interoperability between different location technologies and applications, while also defining standardized parameters for mobile operators to test location-based services.

Autodesk Location Services offers wireless operators and enterprises a comprehensive solution for location-based services, including the Autodesk LocationLogic application development platform, the Autodesk Location Connect suite of applications, and content integration and management tools. Autodesk Location Services solutions are designed to help operators react quickly and competitively to market conditions and drive new revenue opportunities through location-sensitive wireless data services.
