Autodesk expands India support base

New Delhi, India, 17 April 2006: Autodesk Inc. launched a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in School of Planning Architecture, New Delhi on April 17, aiming to create architects with world-class design skills. The Centre, second one after establishment at Sir J J College of Architecture in Mumbai, will provide a platform to budding architects with a variety of softwares including world-class 3D model-based design software for architecture, urban design and building technology.

Speaking at the function, Autodesk Senior Director, Strategic Research, Jon Pittman said India would face so many challenges in urban planning in next two decades and the CoE would provide a strong platform to the growing demand of innovative design solution in the country.

Through the proposed facilities, the design software and digital content firm is looking forward to offer better-equipped and time-efficient customer support services its customers. Now the firm has presence at Mumbai and New Delhi, besides its country main office in Bangalore.
