Australian state makes 550 geospatial datasets public

SHARE

Australia: The Victorian Coalition Government, as part of its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Strategy, has made more than 1,000 datasets, including 550 geospatial datasets, available to the public online.

The online publishing of the new datasets is in sync with the DataVic Access Policy, which enables the sharing of government data at no, or minimal, cost to users. These datasets identify the geographic location of the features and boundaries of Victoria; both natural and constructed. They will help in understanding more about the flood plains, water catchment areas, local government areas, addresses, coastal areas, airports and state boundaries.
