Canada: Skybox Imaging has appointed Canadian remote sensing company Auracle Geospatial Science as its reseller. Auracle will distribute Skybox’s high-resolution imagery, videos and analytics within the Canadian market.
Skybox Imaging recently released imagery from its SkySat-2 satellite and was also in news after Google offered $500 million to acquire the company. Skybox has also launched two of its 24 planned microsatellites that capture sub-meter imagery and full motion commercial video for an on-demand view of the world.
Matt Wood, Skybox Senior Director of Enterprise Solutions said, “We see great potential in combining AGS’s technical expertise with timely, sub-meter Skybox imagery and video to create compelling monitoring and assessment solutions for a variety of industries throughout Canada.”
David McLelland, CEO of Auracle Geospatial Science added, “Through this new partnership with Skybox, Auracle looks forward to further maximising the value of spatial data for existing and new clients. Our data integration and fusion methodologies are a great match to Skybox’s products.”
