NovaLIS Technologies the provider of integrated land records management solutions with partners ASIX, Inc. and Valcura International, is delivering a computer assisted mass appraisal system to Anoka County, Minnesota, USA. The County of Anoka Division of Property Records and Taxation selected NovaLIS’ Assessment Office and ASIX’s Ascend products.
“It was time. Vendor support for our existing hardware is going away and our current system is outdated and cannot adapt to changing requirements,” said Dennis D. Berg, Anoka County Commissioner.
Valcura is an integrator/partner with NovaLIS, and has implemented and extended their products in many prominent jurisdictions. Anoka County seeks to replace its current Unisys mainframe property tax system with a more modern, yet equally comprehensive and enhanced client-server system in order to provide improved levels of service to County taxpayers and tax service firms. The applications will manage the automated processing for property appraisal through the assessment, calculation, billing, collection and settlement of property taxes, and the recording and indexing of documents. It will streamline the workflow and will ultimately interface with the County’s financial management system.
NovaLIS’ Assessment Office fully automates property appraisal and administration practices. It combines the proven capabilities of Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA), assessment administration systems, GIS, document imaging, sketching, and workflow management technology into a complete business solution for the management and valuation of real and personal property. Ascend™ is a Windows-based client/server software application available on Microsoft NT/Windows 2000 and UNIX platforms.
