AIT’s geoinformatics centre offers Japan quake maps

Thailand: Geoinformatics Center (GIC), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) processed a large number of satellite data of Japan’s earthquake affected areas. These data have been turned into maps which are showing the tsunami affected areas. All these maps are now available at the International Charter’s Website: https://www.disasterscharter.org/web/charter/activation_details?p_r_p_1415474252_assetId=ACT-359. These maps are also available at https://www.geoinfo.ait.ac.th/.

Earlier, International Charter designated Dr. Masahiko Nagai of Geoinformatics Center (GIC), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), as the Project Manager for processing the satellite data acquired immediately after the catastrophic disaster in the north-east part of Japan on 11 March, 2011.
