Ghana: Olivier Dewitte of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre has urged African countries to adopt remote sensing satellites. Ultimately, remote sensing satellite systems can more efficiently survey the state, characteristics and threat to the soils. This is extremely useful in developing early warning systems for droughts, erosion and other natural disasters.
Furthermore, adopting modern remote sensing satellites can help the continent not only in improving its safety measures but also to come up with policies that can help in alleviating socio-economic problems.
