After having tied up with US-based Garmin, a GPS technology player-as a national distributor for its products, New Delhi-based Aerial Services in India has introduced a GPS navigation product ‘street pilot’ in the country. Containing GIS-mapped information about major landmarks in all metro cities, street pilot will be targeted first for cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune.
While going from one destination to another, one just needs to feed in the details and the device will take over from there. A voice modulator guides the vehicle announcing every turn, advising the distance before a turn. The device also flashes a visual display of the map and guides the viewer.
