Johannesburg, South Africa, October 29, 2007: AAMHatch announced the acquisition of AOC Geomatics at the Map Africa 2007 conference. AOC was formed in 1931 as the Aircraft Operating Company. With offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg AOC provides spatial information services throughout Africa.
In Africa, AAMHatch will continue to use the AOC brand. As the principal shareholder, AAMHatch brings global capabilities and resources to AOC. This ensures AOC has first access to all leading-edge spatial technologies. The AAMHatch group brings a culture of integrity, excellence and innovation to AOC.

AAMHatch’s partner in the purchase of AOC is TsaRona Investments. Through this partnership AAMHatch and TsaRona will ensure that AOC exceeds the South African Governments’ Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment requirements and achieves the objective of being Proudly Black Empowered.
