1Spatial joins SIBA, outlines vision for Cadastre 2034

Sydney: 1Spatial group has announced that its Sydney-based office has formally joined the Spatial Industries Business Association (SIBA), the leading association representing spatial industry in Australia and New Zealand. The Sydney, New South Wales office oversees the Asia Pacific region.

Martin Gregory, General Manager for 1Spatial Asia Pacific said, " Joining SIBA is the best way for 1Spatial to contribute to a number of important spatial industry and government initiatives."

1Spatial has widespread experience in the management and transformation of very large spatial data holdings in a number of National Mapping and Cadastral Agencies and other data publishers including Ordnance Survey Great Britain, IGN France, AdV in Germany, PSMA in Australia and others.

In its response to Cadastre 2034, 1Spatial recommended that future cadastres of New Zealand and Australia should be based on a future proof conceptual data model, support dynamic 3D data and Provide a data management framework capable of supporting periodic upgrades.

The ‘Cadastre 2034: Powering Land & Real Property’ consultation process has been extended until August 31 and is going to result in a wide-ranging draft national strategy.
