GEO Symposium 2018, 11-12 June 2018

The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) invites the Earth observation community to come together for the 2018 GEO Symposium. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of the GEO Work Programme, share knowledge and connect with others from the global GEO community.

Under the umbrella of Earth Observations for Impact (#EO4IMPACT18), the symposium sessions will cover a variety of globally-relevant topics, including – Earth observations for the Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Climate Agreement, and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction; challenges and opportunities to advance data sharing and data management; collaboration between Regional GEOSS Initiatives and GEO Flagships, Initiatives and Community Activities; engaging the commercial sector in the GEO Work Programme; and transformative technologies in Earth observations.

GEO invites all current and prospective contributors to the GEO Work Programme to attend the Symposium.
