Geospatial Media and Communications is proud to announce collaboration with Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (Sabah Branch) to organise Malaysia Geospatial Forum and Sabah International Surveyors’ Congress together. The conference is scheduled on 11-12 March 2014 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The conference envisages participation of 500 delegates from Malaysia and its neighbouring countries.
With the theme “Fostering Domestic Capacity for Economic Growth”, the conference aims to highlight the potential of geospatial technology in managing the country’s wealth and ensuring sustainable development for optimal economic growth. The role of surveyors in their respective domains will also be discussed.
The two-day conference shall feature plenary sessions to discuss the conference theme, as well as technical programmes that include diverse user segments such as plantation, forestry, disaster management, cadastre, infrastructure and utility, as well as the latest technological trends in geospatial and surveying domains such as building information modeling, UAV, 3D and others .
An exhibition showcasing the latest geospatial technology and applications will also be a very important component of the conference.
