    3D Laser Scanning

3D Laser Scanning or 3D Scanning is a technique of capturing objects using non-destructive, no physical contact techniques using a LiDAR device. In this case, a 3D point cloud of the object is generated and the processing of this will result in a highly detailed 3D model of the object. 3D laser scanning is used in engineering applications requiring high precision. Also, from a geospatial perspective 3D laser scanning is done using aerial lidar or terrestrial lidar. In case of terrestrial lidars, autonomous vehicles are also deploying these techniques.
