In a first ever exclusive study, The Countries Geospatial Readiness Index integrates several new approaches in assessing the geospatial readiness of 50 countries. The report identifies countries who qualify to be the geospatial industry top players. Representing 75% of the world’s population and 89% of the world’s GDP, these countries are measured and assessed across various metrics and indicators. The four pillars which form the basis of evaluation are:

  • Geospatial Infrastructure and Policy Framework
  • Institutional Capacity
  • User Adoption Level
  • Geospatial Industry Fabric

Accordingly, the above four pillars along with their sub-determinants are used to assess the geospatial readiness of a country. The index, a set of diagnostic tool, plays a constructive role in providing guidance to business and governments As a result, countries can identify the strengths to build on and challenges to overcome to be competitive in the geospatial domain.
