Abstract
Earthquakes are inevitable disasters and each year cause many fatalities and loss of properties around the world. Iran is aligned along Alp-Himalaya earthquake Belt and so has high seismic activities. Therefore investigation of this phenomenon seems to be necessary. A field of investigations in this context is about earthquake Prediction possibility. Peculiar animal behavior, ground water level changes, crust deformation around fault area and sulfurous gas emission are from earthquake precursors that have been pointed out from ancient times. By technology improvement and satellites launch, analyzing of earth changes in high temporal resolution became applicable and different theories about Earthquake Prediction such as mid-infrared radiation theory, earthquake clouds, crust deformation around fault area, ionosphere electron contents, changes in EM signals and Earth magnetic field advanced. In this paper we have introduced mid-infrared radiation theory and earthquake clouds theory for earthquake forecasting by using space technology and possibility of applied usage of them for earthquake prediction has been analyzed.
