The European countries are far ahead in implementing geospatial technologies in agriculture as compared to the rest of the world. As part of the survey conducted by Geospatial Media and Communications, it was observed that Europe is using tools like high precision positioning systems, smart sensors and state-of-the-art machines in the agriculture sector. Countries covered in this survey are the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Denmark and UK. The survey focuses on specific aspects of agriculture: soil and cultivating crops (both food and cash crops).
