The study area is located in south eastern of Khorramabad city in Lorestan province. The total area covered by this study is 34491 ha.This basin has various geology including thick layer limestone, sandstone, siltstone and marl, all of them are sensitive by erosion. 33% of areas are upper than 35 degree and mainly have been covered by forest and rangeland. Annual rainfall Average is 710 mm.The method used here is called the Landslide index method . a weight -value for a parameter class, lithology, slope class, land use class, distance from fault, ….,is defined as natural logarithm of the landslide density in the entire map. Implementation this method requires environmental data. Thus, first was provided Data base by 1/20000 Arial photos , 1/50000 to photographic maps exist , TM images and field works. Such as : Geological Map, Slope map land use map , Annual rainfall map , distance from main fault , water way and landslide inventory map. These information have been analyzed with Ilwis software.The surveys show lithology, slope, distance from fault, and land use parameters are main factors in relate to control landslide in this area. On this bases this hazard zonation method, has found 44% of basin area has high potential in relate to landslide. Thus, any changing land use in this basin must take into account necessary studies.
