Geospatial World Forum 2012: Plenary Panel 4

Geospatial World Forum, the premier global geospatial industry conference, was held at the RAI Convention Centre, Amsterdam in April 2012. With the theme Geospatial Industry and World Economy, the Forum brought together 1000+ geospatial professionals from 78 countries. The Plenary 4 addressed the topic: Connecting Communities for Enhancement of Geospatial Utility in World Economy. It was chaired by Jean Francois Rocchi , President , BRGM, France. The Plenary brought forward Prof Jozef Dubinski, President , World Mining Congress, Poland; A J Baayen, Managing Director Deltares The Netherlands; Mitrasen Bhikajee, Executive Secretary, Inter-governmental Oceanographic Commission, UNESCO , France; and Geoff Zeiss , Director Utility Industry Program, Autodesk, USA. During the Plenary, Prof. Jacqueline McGlade, Executive Director, European Environment Agency, Denmark, delivered the guest address. This Plenary was designed to connect and integrate geospatial industry with major industries of world economy and enhance the utility and relevance of geospatial technology in these industries.
