Geospatial World Forum 2012: Plenary Panel 3

Geospatial World Forum, the premier global geospatial industry conference, was held at the RAI Convention Centre, Amsterdam in April 2012. With the theme Geospatial Industry and World Economy, the Forum brought together 1000+ geospatial professionals from 78 countries. The Plenary 3 addressed the topic: Convergence: Enabling Spatial Culture. It was chaired by Dr. Vanessa Lawrence CB, Director General and Chief Executive, Ordnance Survey UK. The Plenary brought together David Schell, Emeritus Chairman, Open Geospatial Consortium, USA; Alain De Taeye, Board Member TomTom BV. the Netherlands; Steven Hagan, Vice President, Oracle Inc., USA; Ben Semmes , COO , PB Software, USA; and Air Chief Marshal Stuart Peach, Royal Air Force, UK. During the Plenary, Dr. Wubbo Johannes Ockels, Professor of Aerospace for Sustainable Engineering and Technology, Delft University, The Netherlands, delivered the guest address. This Plenary was designed to provide dimensions and directions of geospatial technology and its integration for delivering geospatial information and utility to common man, further in turn enabling spatial culture.
