Director of Direct Access Program Sales
This presentation will discuss the evolution of High Resolution Commercial Satellite Imagery capabilities. The presentation will highlight the increased capabilities of the sensor systems along with the increased availability of data due to access to constellations of satellites. The increased resolution of satellite imagery has reduced the manpower required to classify features in satellite imagery. The accuracy of the data requires less collateral data to produce highly accurate image products. The collection capacities of the systems have been increased due to larger swathe widths, faster scanning and manoeuvering. Communications infrastructure is enabling the efficient downlink of satellite imagery and distribution of the data in a timely manner. Commercial satellite imagery was once limited by availability. This is no longer the situation.
